The South Gloucestershire Partnership is the local strategic partnership for South Gloucestershire and was formed in June 2002 to develop and monitor the Sustainable Community Strategy (see below). Members are drawn from organisations such as voluntary and community groups, local businesses, the council and other public agencies. Each member brings the interests and concerns of their sector to the partnership's work. See the Who We Are section for the profile and contact details of each member.
The composition of the South Gloucestershire Partnership was agreed through a series of meetings, known as partners' conferences, to which a range of local organisations were invited. We will continue to use partners' conferences to progress the aims of the strategy and to report progress.
The South Gloucestershire Partnership has recently undergone a light touch review to ensure it is fit for purpose in these changing times. It was agreed by the Partnership that a Chief Officers' Group should be set up to is support the parntership work by dealing with the day to day performance issues as well as steering the work of the five themed strategic partnerships which continue to deliver the work of the Partnership.
