Helen Black is the Chief Officer for CVS South Gloucestershire and is the first full time CO the organisation has had.

CVS South Gloucestershire is a Council for Voluntary Service - an organisation which exists all over the country to help those who work with charities, community groups and voluntary organisations of all sorts.

It's aim is to  'Support, Develop and Represent' the voluntary sector in South Gloucestershire. To do this it offers a range of services including information and resources, one-to one work with groups, funding advice, networking and training. It works in partnership with both voluntary and statutory organizations and represents the interests of the voluntary and community sector on strategic partnerships.
