Chief Inspector Mark Evans
Mark started his policing career in 1993, he was posted to central Bristol and spent the first few years walking around the City centre and Broadmead he has performed many roles and has worked at every station within the Constabulary. He is an ex Firearms officer and is currently a firearms and Public order commander, these roles have allowed him to work regionally and nationally.
Mark spent 3 years working with the Polish police and ran a programme that seconded officers across to work in the UK. He has also worked within the HMIC (now the HMICFRS) where he worked inspecting other forces on their response to fiscal challenge, domestic abuse and managing police time.
His current role is the Local Policing Commander for South Gloucestershire, he leads the neighbourhood and Partnership work and is responsible for safeguarding, partners, offender management and problem solving.
