Thanks to CVS South Glos, the South Gloucestershire Equalities Forum web pages are now live.

I am delighted to let you know that the South Gloucestershire Equalities Forum web pages are now live on the CVS-South Gloucestershire website http://www.cvs-sg.org.uk/

On the main menu bar there is a new option “equalities” with three items on the drop down menu;

  • South Gloucestershire Equalities Forum – a short introduction to the forum and then two further pages, the first covering reports of SGEF conferences and the second “equality events” which is a listing of forthcoming meetings addressing equality issues
  • census and equality profiles – this begins with a brief summary of the equalities populations in S Gloucestershire and some more detailed information provided by Andy Cornelius has been uploaded to this page.  There are then 6 pages with short summaries of the major protected characteristics together with details of representative organisations
  • equalities toolkit – this is for CVS material developed for the voluntary sector

The Equality Events page will be used to list meetings that are particularly focussed on equality issues, or which are organised by one of the local equality groups.  There are lots of other equality related meetings (e.g. Healthwatch’s Older People’s Services network) which will remain on the main CVS events’ pages

If you are arranging an equality event please send the information to will.bee@southglos.gov.uk and he will arrange for it to be posted on the page.

CVS send out a daily e bulletin, the Wednesday issue will include new events added on the equality events page.  If you subscribe to the ‘join our mailing list’ option you will be sent all their regular updates.
