Dr Justin Morris
Chief Executive – Bristol Zoological Society
Justin is the Chief Executive of Bristol Zoological Society, a wildlife conservation charity. He is leading a strategy that will see the creation of a new Bristol Zoo, harnessing the combined benefits of conservation fieldwork, research, education, animal husbandry and public engagement.
Justin has a lifelong passion for the natural world and hopes to lead a fundamental shift in the zoological community to recognise the combined importance of these different aspects of wildlife conservation and define what a modern zoological society should be.
Prior to joining the Society in 2018, Justin held senior positions at The British Museum and the Natural History Museum over a period of more than 20 years, during which he led a number of significant change programmes and capital projects.
Justin is also the President of Bristol Chamber of Commerce and Initiative; a Non-Executive Director of Visit West; and a Trustee of the Bristol Natural History Consortium.
