We the undersigned confirm that our organisation recognises South Gloucestershire Council’s area wide Climate Emergency Declaration (July 2019) and as part of the role of the Local Strategic Partnership, we are working to tackle the climate emergency and nature crisis. To do this we are taking action within our own organisations, with our partners, customers and service users to reduce carbon emissions, adapt to the local impacts of a changing climate and to support nature recovery.

Climate emergency and the nature crisis are on the agenda for each Local Strategic Partnership meeting. The partnership steers the delivery of the annual South Gloucestershire Climate Emergency Action Plan drawn up by the council each year until 2030. Full details of each annual action plan can be found on the council’s website.
The partnership receives independent technical advice to steer the Climate Emergency Action Plan and on the activities of the partnership from the South Gloucestershire Climate Emergency University Advisory Group.
The partnership will decide on a programme of joint activity to take action across the local area and details of this will be added to this website in 2021.
Details of the existing targets set by individual organisations who are members of the partnership on climate emergency and nature recovery are set out in the document below.
